NPP has failed Weija-Gbawe…. NDC Weija Dzata Bi fires

A parliamentary aspirant of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Weija-Gbawe constituency, Nii Saka Allotey has accused government of failing its promise of providing jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the Weija- Gbawe municipality.

Nii Saka Allotey populary known as Nii Bi Dzata Bi said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has since 2004 won in all national elections both presidential and parliamentary in Weija-gbawe but has done very little to improve infrastructure development in the area.

He said the constituency still has bad roads and poor drainage system – things according to Dzata Bi, the NPP prior to the 2016 elections promised to fix if retained that parliamentary seat.

Nii Bi Dzata Bi, a security expert is laying the blame squarely at the doorstep of incumbent Member of Parliament of Weija-Gbawe constituency, Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah who doubles as a deputy minister of health in the president Akufo-Addo government.

Prior to the 2016 elections, Mrs. Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah among others promised to train thousands of jobless youth in her constituency to gain employable skills in various vocations however, according to Nii Bi Dzata Bi, the MP is yet to honor that promise three years after she won that parliamentary seat.

He claimed that majority of residents in Weija-Gbawe are disappointed by the performance of the incumbent MP and are determined to reject her in the 2020 elections.

Speaking on Accra based Pink FM Monday monitored by Ghanamatters.com, the coordinator of the NDC National foot soldiers Association said the NPP led by Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah “has collapsed factories in Weija that used to employ youths in the constituency”.

He mentioned in particular the poor management of Ghana Industrial and Commercial Estates Limited (GICEL) located Off Mallam-kasoa Highways that provides services in Real Estates.

APPEAL FOR VOTES

Nii Bi Dzata Bi called on NDC delegates in the upcoming parliamentary primaries to vote massively for him to lead the party in Weija- Gbawe into the 2020 polls.

According to him, residents of Weija-Gbawe are yearning for a change from the incompetent and corrupt government NPP government to a competent NDC government and that delegates must vote for him to help effect that needed change.

The NDC has closed nominations for the position of parliamentary candidate aspirant in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

In the Weija- Gbawe constituency, only three persons picked up nomination forms to contest for the vacant position.

They are Nii Saka Allotey affectionately called NII BI DZATA BI, Cleland Ayaa Ayison and Mr. Shaibu Amadu.
