News coming in from the seat of government, Jubilee House suggest that, His Excellency President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is about releasing his first reshuffle list.
The president took his vacation to cool down and also finalise his long awaited reshuffle. The president seeing the backlash of his impending decision took his closest allies with his to London for final consultations.
Currently, Ghana boast of 110 ministers which has on numerous occasions being criticised. It is said that the president has reduced the final list to the region of 80 ministers, but the question remains who will be fired? We can confirm that, three ministries namely, Agriculture, Information and Education will see new ministers. The president is also seriously considering abandoning the creation of ministry responsible for business creation.
Who are those being fired?
Some perceived non performing ministers and deputies have been busy phoning and meeting their preferred lobbyist to get the president to maintain them.
Meanwhile, the NPP national executives are at odds with the president this time, for the latter keeping his decisions to himself without any consultation. Some party executives would want the president to delay the reshuffle until the party’s national conference are over.
