President goes on fourteen day isolation


On the recommendations of medical experts in Ghana, president Nana Akufo-Addo from Saturday, July 4 began a fourteen days precautionary self-isolation measure complying with the COVID-19 protocols, a statement signed by the minister for information, Kojo Oppon Nkrumah has said.

The release stated that the president has been asked to do so after a close person within his circle tested positive for COVID-19.

However, Nana Akufo-Addo as at Saturday tested negative to the virus but out of caution is going to be self-isolating.

The statement added governance during the isolation period would not stop as president Nana Akufo-Addo would continue working during this period at the Presidential villa, Accra.
