Leave me out of NPP – Legon Lecturer

Dr. Nana Ama Browne Klutse a Senior Lecturer of the University of Ghana Physics Department, has denied any association with the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the past or present.

She insists she has never been and will not be a member of the elephant family as claimed by some persons who are peddling the falsehood aimed at ruining her ambition of becoming the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Abura Asebu Kwamankese constituency in the Central Region.

Incumbent Member of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Elvis Morris Donko has been accused of fueling the misinformation in the area in view of the fact he feels threatened by the emergence of the renowned lecturer.

But reacting to the concerns, she said “What they are doing is just to sway the attention of the delegates, vetting committee and party members just to get me out of the race. [But] Thankfully I’ve gone through the vetting process successfully’

She stressed “I was questioned by party executives on my membership with the NPP, and I stated emphatically that I’ve never been a member. Interestingly, my accusers did not make the facts available to us, they couldn’t find evidence to show. This clearly depicts a desperate MP who is trying every means possible to avoid a defeat, knowing very well that I can win and contest him. Honestly they were just being unfair to me”

The aspirant has since gone through the vetting and is lacing her boots for the primary she is optimistic of winning.
