Malawi’s election system seems to be appreciated among many African youths. The fondness of the system, where candidates can visibly see their potential voters just after counting the votes, makes the questions over voter rigging and all associated challenges of conducting an election somewhat minimal.
Conducting a free and fair election is arguably an arduous task, and no nation can truly claim to have run elections without any form of rigging tagged to it. With Malawi’s open system, where no voter’s ID and ballot papers are used, could this be be future of conducting credible elections in Africa and elsewhere?
