Sports Ministry official allegedly demands sex from journalists to cover World Cup

Barely four months after investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas aired the Number 12 football documentary that exposed corruption and shook the foundations of Ghana football, another scandal has hit the sports sector.

A grapevine source close to the Sports Ministry has revealed that a senior member of the Ministry’s Communications Team has been demanding sex from some Ghanaian female journalists in exchange for travel opportunities to cover tournaments, the most recent being the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay.

A sex tape that allegedly captures a female journalist engaging in sexual acts with the said Sports Ministry official has been intercepted by an angry unnamed journalist and tendered in as evidence to the Police for investigations.
