Unemployment Is Forcing People To Become Pastors – Apostle Amoako Atta

Senior Pastor of Freedom Chapel International Ministries, Apostle Francis Amoako Atta has hinted that most of these modern pastors were not called by God but rather were called by hunger.

The Apostle in an interview with Ohemaa Woyeje on Adom Fm’s “Black Wednesday Show” stated that lack of employment in the country is also the cause of these numerous pastors in the country.

“If there are a lot of work opportunities in the country, lots of these pastors will shun the pastoral work. There are only three jobs in Ghana. It’s either you’re a pastor, politician or you sell herbal medicine…” he said.

A few weeks ago it was announced that the Rwandan President, Paul Kagame has closed down some churches in his country due to an inability of churches meeting the building regulations.

Apostle Ofori Atta was therefore also asked if Ghana should follow the steps taking by the Rwandan President and in an answer to this question he said the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs must set up some criteria in Ghana that would guide setting up of Churches in this country.
