“STREET PEOPLE” AT RISK OF ROAD ACCIDENTS: MISS REJOICE DOGBER

Miss Rejoice Dogber
(Face of Road Safety Africa GH 2019) on 14th February, 2020 hit the streets of Accra to educate the physically challenged persons who include the blind, disabled, street children, refugees along the streets among others.

The Road Safety patron took them through general road safety tips and amplified the fact that they ought to be extremely careful since they spend most of their time on the streets.

Speaking to her she mentioned that, “it is Valentine’s Day and everyone is showing love, these street people are my loved ones and my responsibility to an extent. They are at risk of getting involved in road accidents and the little education given I believe can help save a life”

Miss Rejoice after the education had a street picnic with them. She served them with food and drinks and that was fulfilling to her service she said. The journey which started from the Airport traffic lights, went through and ended at 37 hospital traffic light.

Speaking to some of the beneficiaries, they shared similar views by saying “they are appreciative of the gesture and not everyone would remember them on such a day, they enjoyed the food and drinks and thanked her so much for the road safety education.
