Next NDC government to set up Financial Services Authority in 2021 – John Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has hinted that, the next NDC government will establish a Financial Services Authority to sanitize Ghana’s financial and banking sector.

I will establish a Financial Services Authority that will be responsible for ensuring that consumer financial markets work for consumers, providers and the economy as a whole,” – John Mahama stated.

Speaking at the outdooring of his vice presidential candidate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Mr Mahama said when voted into power in the coming December 2020 elections, his administration will within twelve months pay all the customers and settle all financial issues related to the those indigenous Ghanaian owned banks which have been collapsed under the Akuffo Addo led government.

I pledge on behalf of the NDC that we shall pay within one year all who have funds locked up with the collapsed financial institutions. Within one year. I promise!” Mr Mahama said.
