JOBS: Recruitment of new medical doctors begin on Monday 14th Jan

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) will on Monday, 14th January 2019 begin recruitment of medical doctors across the country.

A statement issued on Thursday said that financial clearance have been given by the Ministry of Finance for the recruitment exercise that will be conducted online through the GHS online application portal.

“Medical officers who are part of the group whose clearance has been received and intend to work in the various health facilities under the Service are kindly requested to formally apply online,” a statement by the GHS, Anthony Nsiah-Asare said.

They have up to January 18, 2019 to apply.

The Ministry of Health on December 19, 2018 announced the Finance Ministry had cleared them to employ some 295 medical doctors who had permanently registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana, 3news.com reports.

Of the number, the Ghana Health Service was given a quota of 150; Korle Bu Teaching Hospital 30; Tamale Teaching Hospital 20; Cape Coast Teaching Hospital 15 and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital 20.

The rest were Ghana Prisons Service 2; Ghana Police Service 3; Mental Health Authority (Psychiatry facilities) 3; the Christian Health Association of Ghana 50 and Ahmaddiya Medical Services 2.
