Ghanaians are happy to welcome Syrian refugees

Syrian refugees settle in Ghana

There are about 100 refugees currently residing in Ghana since the conflict began in 2011. Many of them had originally wanted to be in Europe and elsewhere, but due to circumstances beyond their control, some have rather decided to visit the west African country, Ghana.  The Ghanaian government has no open door policy to accept Syrians, but evidence suggests that the people of Ghana are happy to welcome Syrians who may wish to resettle in Ghana.

A BBC report identifies some of the Syrian who have made it to Ghana and are settling in well in this video.
