The International Criminal Police (Interpol) has issued a red notice for Samuel Adam Foster also known as Samuel Adam Mahama over his alleged role in the Airbus bribery scandal.
The warrant has charged him with “accepting a bribe to influence a public officer” and “acting in collaboration with a public officer for the public officer’s private profit”.
However, some section of the Ghanaian community believe the timing of Interpol’s arrest warrant is a political whichunt aimed at some key politician in the main opposition party.
You will recall, Interpol was used to arrest Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as, NAM1 in the MENZGOLD saga. In the case of NAM1, his whereabout wasn’t known at the time of arrest.
However, Mr Samuel Adam Mahama is believed to be based in the UK, so many have questioned why the UK authorities were not asked to arrest him instead of going through Interpol?
According to Interpol, if successfully with prosecution, Mr Adam Mahama could be jailed for up to 25 years.

Other accomplices who are British citizens and known to be resident in the UK have also been charged in this case.
